For all Wisconsin Corvette clubs:
There will be Corvette Caravans from all 50 states converging on Bowling Green, KY in September of 2009 for the 15th Anniversary of the National Corvette Museum. The party in Bowling Green, KY will run from September 3-5th, 2009.
While it’s pretty early for a lot of people to plan for such an event, this letter is to introduce myself, Ivan Schrodt, as the Caravan Captain for Wisconsin. At this point the WI committee is Ed Foy, Fred Severt, and me. This is my first time as a Caravan Captain so I will appreciate all the help I can get.
The tentative route is from Green Bay through Random Lake and on to Bloomington, IL for the evening stop. We will join up with the Minnesota Caravan at or before Beloit. People will have the option of joining the Minnesota group coming through the West side of the state or the Wisconsin group coming from the East.
For the second day, the major stop for the combined Caravan will be at Mid America Motorworks and from there on to Bowling Green, KY for the 15th Anniversary Celebration.
It is going to be a great and memorable caravan and event.
We would like to have representatives from all the WI Corvette Clubs to help shape this event and coordinate for their club. You can email me at WICaravanCaptain@new.rr.com or call 920-915-2042 (my cell).
More information is available at:

That site is being continually updated so sign up for the eNews and check back often.
Of course we will be looking for support for the Museum as part of this Caravan and if you are interested in contributing or have a lead for us, please let me know. The Museum has a major building expansion fund raising underway and is hoping to have at least part of the expansion ready for the 2009 event. (There is good information on the Museum expansion plans at www.corvettemuseum.com . I would also enjoy coming to one of your club meetings to show the video on the expansion plans and talk about the Caravan (there will be a DVD for that in a week or so) if you would like.)
Thank You for your support of the National Corvette Museum and the 2009 Caravan.
